A desire to speak in tongues
I would like to learn to speak both Spanish and French.
Obviously, not at the same time or that would be silly, wouldn’t it?
Anyone know of any books entitled: ‘Lazy bastards learning Spanish and French without really making all that much effort: An illustrated guide.’?

Pimsler Spanish, ... Download the Audio from Kazza or anyother p2p
I've had a quick look on Amazon and the Spanish for Dummies is aimed more at Latin-American Spanish, which by all accounts, isn't the same thing.
However the French for Dummies faired a lot better.
I'm just a little worried about the accompanying CD's. Some people have had problems with them, which I'd like to avoid if possible...

I'll have a look for that.
I'll see if there's an audio book somewhere.
Thanks for posting!
... or else just search for it on google or something and find the web site,... its good, or you could try http://www.languagedynamics.com/ maby you could move to south america or something,
I've been around Amazon (the website, not the tropical region) countless times and I just don't feel confident enough to put good money down on some of the books there after reading some of the less-than-rave reviews.
I suppose I can't become a cunning linguist over night, so like everything else, I'll have to start with simple stuff, first.
Thanks all round for the help! Keep it comin'!
..Look, The people hanging on Amazon writing reviews, are, -and have always been-, a bunch of suckers.. Ask anyone living along the Amazon how welcome Cortes' and his merry-men were back in the days..
They do this 'gig in between evaluating the 'quality of service' aboard the Hindenburg Zeppelin, and it shows..
Flie-on-the-wall daily (dramatic re-enactment):
[No, Lucie; daddy _has to_ put the crack-pipe down to click "Submit Review", we've been through this before.. -You just keep the propane burner active, m'girl.]
I rest my case..
