Thought of the day

"Every now and then go away, have a little relaxation, for when you come back to your work your judgment will be surer. Go some distance away because then the work appears smaller and more of it can be taken in at a glance and a lack of harmony and proportion is more readily seen."
~ Leonardo Da Vinci

Hi Wise Donkey and thanks for posting!

I think the quote has a timeless quality which really does become more relevant as time passes by.

A truly great man and a truly wonderful quote...

I like it too - but I find the further away I get from work the more reluctant I become to return to it. Maybe I just need a new job!

I've never played golf.

I imagine golf to be be a fairly sedately and relaxing game in itself.

I'd hate to have to play it a get stressed out.

Wasn't it Mark Twain who said gold was a good walk spoiled?

And as for you, Zu, don't you come here all toned & tanned trying to make me feel all jealous .. coz it won't work.

Ok, so I'm jealous of you having been on holiday.

Happy now?
